Mexico Community Center Need
We work in the poorest parts of Puerto Penasco, Sonora. This impoverished community is where the drug cartel has a heavy presence. As a result, many experience hunger, substandard housing, and chronic unemployment. To combat these conditions, we work with children, feeding them and teaching them to prepare them for a better life.
We have started building a community center to provide recreational and educational opportunities for the residents in this community. About 1200 square feet is completed. We’d like to add a second story to the existing area and build additional classrooms to teach life skills, such as parenting skills, nutrition & hygiene classes.
